Candle care

Sculptural candles require a little extra attention to ensure they burn evenly and safely. Here are some tips on how to love your candle:

First burn

• Before lighting your sculptural candle, place it on a heatproof dish or plate to collect any dripping wax.
• We recommend that you trim the wick to 1/4 in. from the surface of the wax before EACH burn to ensure a consistent smoke-free flame and prolong candle’s lifespan.
• Avoid trimming the wick too short, as it may get engulfed by wax.

Ongoing use and storage

• To maintain an even burn, it’s essential to allow the candle to burn long enough for the entire top layer of wax to melt before extinguishing it (typically achieved within 3 hours). This helps prevent tunnelling where the wax only melts in the centre, leaving unused wax along the sides. This will also ensure maximum release of fragrance for the life of your candle.
• When not in use, place your candle away from direct sunlight and nearby heat sources as this may cause discoloration of your candle.
• We recommend that you burn your candle for no more than 3 hours at a time.

Candle safety

• Never leave your burning candle unattended and keep it away from children, pets, and flammable objects.
• Never move a burning candle.
• Always extinguish your candle before leaving a room or going to sleep.
• Keep candles away from drafts, as they can cause uneven burn and make the flame more likely to flare up.
